Estimates and Disbursements

If required, we can provide a verbal estimate of the funeral expenses over the telephone. In addition, each client arranging a funeral will be given a written estimate at the time of giving us instructions or as soon as possible thereafter.
Estimates will show our charges and also any payments that we are required to make to third parties.
These third party payments (disbursements) relate to fees paid to cemeteries, crematoria, churches, clergy, organists, doctors, newspapers, florists, airlines or any other organisation or persons.


Our charges include

  • Transportation from place of death to our Chapel of Rest
  • Any Hygienic Services
  • Design and Printing of bespoke Order of Service sheets
  • Taking instructions and making all necessary arrangements, obtaining and preparing statutory documents, liaising with: Cemetery or Crematorium, authorities, hospitals, doctors, coroner, clergy and other third parties.
  • Use of the Mortuary and Chapel of Rest, including a reasonable number of family visits to our premises at pre-arranged times.
  • The Funeral Director and Funeral Operatives as required, with the cortege to Clients choice of address on day of funeral.
  • Funeral Director, Hearse and Staff
  • Taking the deceased home or into Church, prior to comittal.

Further Services May Include:

  • Additional Limousines for mourners
  • Floral tributes if billed through us.
  • Newspaper Acknowledgements.
  • Additional mileage costs outside a 30mile radius.
  • Horse Drawn and Speciality Hearses.
  • External Audio Broadcast (loudspeaker) for large funerals
  • Refreshment's

 

Payment

When our service is complete we can either issue the final invoice to the client or directly to the estate of the deceased via the solicitor.

Our terms of business are 28 days net.

Payment may be made via a number of methods including cash, cheque or credit card

(Please note that if an account is not settled within our specified terms, should the matter progress, all overdue accounts are sent to the Courts, all related fees and costs will be added.)

 

DSS Funeral Support

 

When arranging a funeral you may be asked if you are going to make an application to the DSS for help with the cost of a Funeral from the Social Fund, 
we can supply you with an application from (SF200) which will give you advice on who can make an application and certain guidelines that apply, we can give you advice on your application and if required our staff can help you to complete the form. However, the decision on any payment being made would always be at the discretion of the DSS office.
